Lisa Nielsen serves as a Planning and Permitting Coordinator at CDR, bringing a diverse background in commercial property management, nonprofit fundraising, and affordable housing development. With a Master’s degree in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Colorado, she is excited to return to the planning field and apply her multifaceted experience in a new and impactful way.

Originally from Fort Collins, Colorado, Lisa combines a deep understanding of planning principles with hands-on knowledge of the commercial real estate industry. This unique perspective supports their role in navigating complex permitting processes and contributing to CDR’s land development projects.

Drawn to CDR by the opportunity to re-engage with planning work, she was especially impressed by the company’s supportive culture and driven, collaborative team. Since joining, they’ve found the environment to be both welcoming and motivating—an ideal setting to grow professionally while contributing to shared success.

Outside of work, Lisa is an avid adventurer who loves skiing, hiking with their dogs, and anything that involves the outdoors and exploration.
