Mai Hunt graduated from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. Prior to transferring, she earned multiple Associate’s degrees at Hartnell College, including business administration, political science, economics, math, physics, electrical engineering, and astronomy, exploring a wide variety of disciplines and building a strong analytical foundation.

Originally from Salinas, California, Mai developed an early fascination with physics, describing it as “magic theory.” This curiosity naturally evolved into a love for engineering, which she views as applied magic, combining creativity and practical problem-solving. While her professional experience is limited to retail and STEM tutoring, she is eager to contribute to CDR’s projects and grow as an engineer.

She was drawn to CDR through Indeed, appreciating the company’s smaller size and diverse team, and is most excited about getting to know coworkers and seeing their projects come to life. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, writing, painting, and exploring museums and libraries.
