Meet Eddie Pablos: Director of Dry Utility Services
Commercial Development Resources would like to recognize Eddie Pablos as an indispensable part of their quickly growing team. Eddie joined the Commercial Development Resources team as Director of Dry Utility Services this past October. He earned his BS in International Business from Alliant International University and his MBA from the University of Redlands. In his role, Eddie works with Senior Project Manager, Leanna Thrane to manage the Dry Utility services. He and Leanna have been a team for nearly 20 years, and have worked on a variety of projects managing schedules, and timelines, as well as acting as a liaison communicating with the utilities on behalf of our clients.
“For many years leading up to CDR’s introduction of Dry Utility services, obtaining reliable schedules and approved designs from dry utility service providers was becoming increasingly more difficult,” explains Aaron Albertson, Principal of Commercial Development Resources. “Eddie’s 20-plus years of experience brings reliability to our client’s project timelines. I look forward to working with Eddie Pablos and utilizing all his valuable knowledge and experience every day. His passion for land development and saving our clients time and money makes him the perfect fit here at CDR.”
As Director of Dry Utilities, Eddie’s main focus is on the management and coordination of new services, relocation of existing facilities, and undergrounding of existing overhead utility lines associated with franchised electric, gas, telephone, and cable television companies. In his career at CDR so far, two major projects have stood out to him. When asked, he noted his involvement with a high-density residential development that includes 500+ single-family residences, the La Ventana Development in Riverside County, and the SilverRock Resort in La Quinta, featuring multiple resort buildings, a clubhouse, and various amenities.
Eddie moved to Temecula in 1998 and has been married to his college sweetheart for 26 years. Together they share 2 sons, and a daughter ranging in age from 15 to 21, as well as a very vocal bulldog named Luna. As an avid sports fan, and supporter of the Padres, Chargers, and any soccer team he comes across, Eddie always encouraged his children to be involved in organized sports. He reflected, “When my kids were younger we spent nearly every weekend running around California watching them play soccer, lacrosse, or field hockey.”
The eldest of 4 children, Eddie was born and raised in San Diego. Coming from a large, and very close extended family, spending time with family and friends is important to Eddie. He has remained close with his parents over the years, unfortunately losing his father in 2015 after a courageous battle with cancer. Eddie’s mother, brother, 2 sisters, and 3 nephews all live within 30 minutes, and he and his wife love spending time with them whenever possible.
When asked about his experience working at CDR so far, Eddie explained that the best part is the overall team feeling he gets from working with the other engineers. He stated, “The CDR team has been very welcoming and made me feel like part of the team from day one. Aaron is a great mentor and is always available when needed to bounce ideas off of.”
